Setting Limits on Distraction
It exhausts you. It diffuses your influence. It drains your energy.
It interrupts. It disrupts.
I’m not talking about parenthood or the summer intern! I’m talking about email.
Right here, right now, make a commitment to increase your productivity by decreasing your susceptibility to multitasking. Vow to minimize your use of…dare I say dependency on…email as a tool.
Chunk your time. Put your energy and effort into focused periods of around 90 minutes at a time. Work on a single project. Move FORWARD !
Remember, a lack of planning on someone else’s part doesn’t constitute an emergency on your’s.
Prioritize your purpose. Keep your eye on the vision. And of course, keep me informed! I look forward to hearing what you do with this!
